1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms, as well as large rugs and a medium-pile. It easily drove close to walls without crashing into them, and was able to traverse thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes struggled to get down the stairs in one step. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or rug.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.
Like robot vacuum cleaner cheap 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. To do this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them becoming clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a great choice for your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just moving the pad across it. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station if required.
This robot combo is easy to set up and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are two water tanks that can be automatically filled or empty. It also has a number of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it can be stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Mopping capabilities are very good with a pair of spinning mops which lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station when required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model is packed with impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the best robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush will give you a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping performance of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble that can navigate tight spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It can go from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors however, and tends to leave a large distance around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and well-organized. It should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app as well as external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of picking up dirt and debris, but it can't always be able to reach every particle of dust. Even though it's not able to wipe your floors, the Q5 still has the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen on a robot at this price. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, which means you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It has a smart app which allows you to schedule cleanings and determine the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive with its 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested that did not have problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it could not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising as it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach corners and tight places that other vacuums cannot. This device also collects more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. The robot is also able to detect carpets and increase suction if needed.
